Lenovo Legion x FIFA World Cup Edition

Grand Skeem Creative collaborated with The Catalyst Agency to develop a high-energy promo for the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i FIFA World Cup edition. Tasked with showcasing the laptop’s premium features, we pushed for a more flexible workflow by requesting original CAD files rather than relying on static PNGs. This allowed for complete 3D control, enabling dynamic camera movements and detailed product reveals that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.
A key challenge involved sourcing soccer, stadium, and fan footage that felt authentic yet remained brand-neutral and unbranded. Through careful curation and editing, I integrated these stock elements with motion graphics to create a seamless, high-stakes narrative that celebrated the sport without infringing on specific team or tournament trademarks.

To bring the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i to life, I integrated the original CAD data into a Blender-based workflow. To navigate the project’s aggressive timeline, I leveraged Eevee, Blender’s real-time render engine. This choice was pivotal: it provided the agility of real-time playback and lightning-fast output compared to Cycles’ path-tracing. Although this required a more curated approach to lighting and materials to mimic physical accuracy, the result was a highly polished, 3D-animated promo delivered in a fraction of the traditional rendering window.
